Type 55 flour?

Anyone know where I can get some? I adapted/tweaked a recipe for French bread, but the harder I try, the worse it gets.
Anybody have a baguette and/or batard recipe they want to share?
I do put a paan of hot water in the bottom of the oven, brush the loaf with water a couple of times, and spritz with water too. So the crust is almost credible. But the inside is not even close to what it should be.
Any and all gratuitous hints and comments are greatly appreciated.
I never got the big deal about the French and their bread. Then I went to France. It was a revelation.
And for anyone out there fortunate enough to be on or near cape cod, there is a French bakery in downtown falmouth that is out on this world. Steve Winn brought the baker over from France for his Las Vegas casino. No idea why they parted company, but his loss is my gain.
